Montgomery County Alcohol Drug Addiction Mental Health Services (MCADAMHS) awards scholarships for employees at our contract agencies to attend a specially designed curriculum at Sinclair Community College to get the coursework needed to be eligible to provide alcohol and drug treatment services with proper licensure.

Applications for scholarships will include the Sinclair Community College application fee and tuition only.

11. Please write a 200 (1500 Characters) word statement about your desire to enroll in this educational program to include:

  • Your commitment to providing substance abuse treatment services to the community
  • Previous experience in the substance abuse field
  • Why the Board should consider you for this scholarship


I acknowledge that I am eligible to apply for this scholarship based on the following criteria:

  • I am employed at one of MCADAMHS contract agencies -I have a high school diploma or higher
  • I have supervisor approval to attend this program
  • I have a commitment to provide substance abuse treatment to the community

If I am awarded this scholarship, I understand that I must:

  • Purchase my own books at a cost of $40-$100 for each class
  • Obtain a passing status of C- or better each semester to be considered for next semester's tuition
  • Attend at least 75% of class time
  • Sit for my licensure exam within 3 months of completing the coursework
  • Pay for my own licensure exam fees

I understand that Sicklier Community College will invoice MCADAMHS and I will not receive any funds directly.

If I choose to withdraw after the College’s refund period, I will be required to reimburse MCADAMHS for that semester and application fee totaling $360.00.

If I fail to submit any required documents, or if any of the information provided on this application is intentionally false or misleading, I may not be considered for a scholarship.
