ADAMHS and Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley Launch the Miami Valley Warmline
For Immediate Release
Dayton, OHIO – Montgomery County Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) will be partnering with Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley (GESMV) to launch the Miami Valley Warmline, which will provide free and confidential mental and behavioral health peer-support services to the community, starting on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 11:00 AM.
A warmline is a phone number people can call when seeking support or wanting to learn about behavioral health and recovery resources available to them in the community. This differs from emergency hotlines as this line is not intended for emergency calls. Warmlines also provide early intervention with emotional support that can prevent a crisis.
The Miami Valley Warmline will be open Monday – Friday, from 11 AM – 7 PM and may be accessed by calling: (937) 528-7777.
Warmlines are becoming increasingly more common across the United States to relieve emergency hotlines from unnecessary calls and better serve communities.
